SSEMW Sponsorship at 2014 RSA

The Society for Early Modern Women (www.ssemwg.org/) extends sponsorship for up to five sessions at the annual meeting of the Renaissance Society of America. Sponsorship signifies that sessions pre-approved by the SSEMW are automatically accepted for the RSA annual meeting. The Society promotes study and scholarly exchange in all disciplinary fields with a focus on women/female gender/women’s sexuality in the Renaissance/early modern period.

Proposals due (with the additional information listed below) by 25 May 2013 to Sara Matthews-Grieco, SSEMW liaison with the Renaissance Society of America: smatth01@syr.edu
Please note: submissions with incomplete materials cannot be taken into consideration.

Session organizers are invited to submit:
– a 200 (max) word abstract describing the objective of their session
– the names of speakers (+ email addresses, one page CVs and institutional affiliations)
– the titles + draft abstracts (150 words max.) of the papers to be read + keywords.
– specification of audiovisual needs
Individual scholars wishing to submit proposals for single papers to be eventually combined into a panel are encouraged to do so. All individual paper submissions must include:
– a one-page CV + institutional affiliation
– title + draft abstract of proposed paper (150 words max.) + keywords.
– specification of audiovisual needs

The language in which papers may be read are: English (preferred language), French, Italian, or Spanish. The SSEMW requires that people giving papers in sponsored sessions be members of the Society.
